Two weeks ago, I finally got a Think Station E31 server (Part #: 255212H), my first server at home. The hardware spec is listed below:

This server is intended to be a super VM server to run a dozen of VMs simultaneously, as I need a virtualized network setup, which consists of many virtualized hosts/routers, using KVM (and sometimes, VirtualBox).
The server is really powerful, and quite surprisingly, very silent. I even cannot feel its existence as I can barely hear any noise. Really Amazing!
The 64-bit CentOS 6.3 is working like a charm on this server, and no any hardware driver issue found yet. I am now feeling pleasant to see the KVM and Virtual Box are running happily. Hope I can get more new/fancy stuff done with this POWERFUL toy in 2013.
